Discover Sound Therapy

Sound therapy is a deeply calming, restorative practice that works through vibration, rhythm, and resonance to support relaxation, grounding, and emotional balance.

Using therapeutic instruments such as Tibetan bowls, gong, chimes, and drums, sound gently guides the nervous system out of stress and into a state of rest. Sessions are offered as sound massage on the body using Tibetan bowls, or as one-to-one or one-to-two sound bath meditations, creating a safe and nurturing space where the body can soften, settle, and reconnect with a sense of ease.

I offer sound therapy as a complementary part of my holistic practice, drawing on my background in reflexology, energy work, and trauma-aware approaches to wellbeing. Each session is guided with care, intuition, and respect for your individual needs, whether you’re seeking deep relaxation, grounding, or gentle emotional support. My approach is always unhurried and consent-led, allowing sound to meet you where you are and support your system at its own pace.

I am a full member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.

Sound Massage

Sound Masssage is a deeply calming, restorative practice that works through vibration, rhythm, and resonance to support relaxation and nervous system balance. Sound gently guides the body out of tension and mental overactivity, creating space for grounding, emotional release, and deep rest. Sessions are offered either as 30 minute or 45 minute sessions. Tibetan bowls are placed on or around the body, and played to balance your chakras and focus on pain points while you lie comfortably immersed in soothing sound.

Sound Bath Meditation

During sessions, a carefully chosen combination of Tibetan bowls, a Chau gong, Zaphir chimes, ocean drum, and Kenari chimes is used to create a layered, nurturing soundscape. These instruments work together to encourage grounding, soften the breath, and support a sense of safety and ease within the body. Sound Meditation sessions are gentle, hands-off (or lightly placed with consent), and led at a pace that allows your system to settle naturally, leaving you feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected after the experience.

Nervous System

Sound therapy helps calm the nervous system by guiding the body out of stress and into a state of rest and regulation. The steady rhythms and vibrations encourage slower breathing, reduced muscle tension, and a sense of safety, making it easier to relax deeply without effort.

Emotional Release

Vibration can gently loosen emotional tension held in the body, allowing feelings to soften and settle naturally. This process does not require talking or analysing; instead, sound creates a supportive space where emotional energy can shift at its own pace.

Grounding & Presence

Sound therapy supports grounding by bringing awareness back into the body and the present moment. The physical sensation of sound helps quiet mental chatter, making it easier to feel centred, embodied, and connected rather than caught in overthinking.

Rest & Balance

Many people experience sound therapy as deeply restorative, supporting improved sleep, mental clarity, and a sense of overall balance. Regular sessions can help the body integrate stress more gently, leaving you feeling steadier, calmer, and more aligned in daily life.

Some frequently asked questions...

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound therapy uses therapeutic instruments such as Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums to create calming vibrations that support relaxation, grounding, and nervous system balance. Sessions are experienced lying comfortably and require no effort or prior experience.

What happens in a treatment?

You’ll lie fully clothed in a comfortable position while sound is created around (or gently on) the body. Sessions may include sound massage with Tibetan bowls placed on or near the body, or a sound bath meditation where sound surrounds you. Gentle grounding guidance is offered throughout.

Is it Hands On?

Sound therapy can be hands-off or involve light contact using Tibetan bowls placed on the body, always with consent. You are welcome to choose what feels most comfortable for you.

How might I feel Afterwards?

People often describe feeling calmer, more grounded, emotionally lighter, or deeply relaxed. Some feel rested straight away, while others notice the effects unfold gently over the following days.

Do I need to Meditate?

No. There’s nothing you need to do or imagine. Simply resting and listening is enough. Many people find sound therapy accessible even if they struggle with meditation or have busy minds.

How Many Sessions Needed?

Some people enjoy sound therapy as a one-off restorative experience, while others find regular sessions helpful for ongoing relaxation and balance. You’re welcome to attend as often as feels supportive for you.
